Nuestros equipos de fútbol fueron acompañados por jugadores del Valencia CF y el Presidente de la FFCV en su presentación de este año

Nuestra escuela de fútbol aprovechó la presentación oficial de sus equipos en esta nueva temporada para recordar que lleva diez años desarrollando un proyecto deportivo muy serio. “Empezamos con treinta y dos niños en equipos de fútbol 8 y hoy tenemos más de doscientos jugadores de todas las categorías”, aseguraba con satisfacción Paco Navarro, director técnico del club, que se ha consolidado en los últimos años como un referente en la provincia de Valencia. “En los inicios nuestro cuerpo técnico estaba formado por cuatro personas. En cambio, hoy somos dieciocho entrenadores a quienes se les percibe como `educadores´ gracias a la cualificada formación que acreditan”, concluye Paco, quien está al frente de esta escuela desde sus orígenes.

Los jugadores del segundo equipo del Valencia CF fueron recibidos por los chavales como verdaderos héroes. Todas las miradas buscaban a Fran Cortijo y José Pascual “Pascu”, ya que en breve podrían convertirse en jugadores del primer equipo. A su vez, Salvador Gomar, Presidente de la Federación de Fútbol de la Comunidad Valenciana, acudió al evento para constatar la firme trayectoria de este club deportivo.

Uno de los grandes distintivos de esta escuela ha sido su filosofía. Un ideario al que han sido fieles desde el minuto uno y con el que se han ganado el respeto de toda la comunidad futbolística. “Es muy satisfactorio que nos vean como un club competitivo que quiere ganar títulos, pero es aún más grato que nos aprecien por los valores que nuestros jugadores defienden en el campo. El respeto, la tolerancia, la deportividad, están en la base del aprendizaje de nuestros  jugadores a quienes formamos y educamos como a personas y no solo como a deportistas”, afirma Paco.

A la ceremonia también acudió Ramón Mompó, responsable del departamento Escoles Valencia CF para dar fe de su implicación en el reciente acuerdo que ha firmado con Caxton College para convertirse en una de sus “Escuelas Conveniadas”.

Por último, entre los objetivos que nuestros jugadores se han marcado para esta nueva etapa destaca su interés por consolidar el fútbol 11 en categorías superiores. “Para conseguir esta nueva meta nos nutriremos de jugadores tanto del colegio como de fuera de él, tal como ocurre con el fútbol 8 donde también perseguimos que nuestras líneas competitivas estén en lo más alto y se alimenten de nuestras líneas de formación”, augura Paco.

Durante la ceremonia varios exjugadores que están en activo en equipos de fútbol profesionales de Estados Unidos y también de España no quisieron perder la oportunidad de felicitar al club en el que se formaron y que emprende una nueva década cargada de ilusiones y esperanzas.

Our football club reminded us at its official presentation this year that it has now been putting its sport philosophy into practice for ten years. ‘We started with thirty-two children on football 8 teams, and today we have more than 200 players of all ages’, says Paco Navarro with satisfaction. Paco is the manager of the club, which in these past years has shown itself to be exemplary in the province of Valencia. ‘At the beginning, our coaching team was made up of just four people. And today, we are a team of 18 coaches looked upon as educators because of the training we have had’, Paco concludes.

Players in Valencia CF’s second team were received as heroes, and all of the young players were looking for Fran Cortijo and José Pascual ‘Pascu’, since they may shortly move up to the first team. Also, Salvador Gomar, President of the Valencian Community Football Federation, came to the event to confirm the club’s excellent track record.

One of the main differences between Caxton College’s club and other clubs is its philosophy: an ethos to which the club has been faithful right from the start, and with which it has gained the respect of the whole football community. ‘It is very satisfying for everyone to see us as a competitive club that wants to win, but it’s even more gratifying to see that we are appreciated for the values that our players defend on the pitch. Respect, tolerance and good sporting behaviour are the foundation of our players’ training, because we are teaching them both as humans and as athletes’, Paco affirms.

Ramón Mompó, in charge of the football school at Valencia CF, also attended the event to reinforce his commitment to the cooperation agreement recently signed with CD Caxton College.

Lastly, among the aims that our team has set forth for this new season is to consolidate football 11 teams in the older categories. ‘To achieve this new goal, we will bring in players both from within school and from outside it, just as we did with the football 8 teams, where we continue to maintain the highest level of competition’, Paco predicts.

During the ceremony, various former players who now play for professional teams in the US and in Spain didn’t miss this opportunity to congratulate the club where they spent their formative years and that now embarks on a new decade of hope and excitement.
