Caxton College vuelve a recibir la máxima calificación en todas las áreas evaluadas en su reciente inspección educativa realizada por Independent Schools Inspectore -ISI- y acreditada por el gobierno británico.

En estos momentos en los que los centros educativos sufren los efectos de la pandemia del Covid 19, resulta más que alentador recibir noticias de tanto valor académico como la que nos llega de Caxton College.

Cabe señalar que su primer certificado BSO (British School Overseas) lo logró en 2017 con la misma nota que recientemente ha obtenido: “Excelente”. Esta acreditación, que debe revalidarse cada tres años, es el sello de calidad educativo internacional más importante que puede recibir un colegio británico en el mundo. De hecho, son muy pocos los centros educativos en España que lo ostentan con la máxima calificación.

“Este ‘Excelente’ ha sido un motor altamente motivador para poner en marcha, en tiempo record, una enseñanza a distancia de la que, tras un periodo de implantación y reajustes a las necesidades de cada etapa, nos sentimos muy satisfechos. Esto solo se consigue con un equipo humano excelente que ha trabajado mañana, tarde, noche y festivos con el único deseo de no defraudar a nuestros alumnos”, confirma Amparo Gil, directora de Caxton College.

El pasado mes de febrero, durante cuatro días de exhaustivo trabajo, un cuerpo de expertos docentes, acreditados por el Ministerio de Educación del Reino Unido, llevó a cabo una auditoría para evaluar principalmente la calidad académica, el desarrollo social, cultural y ético, así como el bienestar y la seguridad de los alumnos de Caxton College. Por otra parte, también examinaron los procesos de trabajo del equipo directivo, profesores y profesionales no docentes. De igual modo supervisaron las instalaciones escolares y la comunicación que el colegio mantiene con padres y alumnos. Un mes más tarde, y tras analizar pormenorizadamente los datos obtenidos, la organización británica ha remitido un informe a Caxton College por el cual reconoce que su nivel de excelencia se aprecia en todas las áreas inspeccionadas.

“Durante una semana lectiva, los inspectores observaron cada rincón, pidieron documentación, encuestaron a padres, hablaron aleatoriamente con alumnos, profesores y personal no docente del colegio. Su objetivo consiste en conocer de manera objetiva y veraz el funcionamiento integral del colegio y su compatibilidad con cualquier escuela privada de Reino Unido”, asegura Marta Gil, Subdirectora del colegio.

Básicamente, y como síntesis del informe educativo, la excelencia de este colegio de Puçol reside, sobre todo, en la calidad del aprendizaje y los logros académicosde sus alumnos así como en su desarrollo personal ligado a los valores humanos.

“El entusiasmo por parte de toda la comunidad educativa es inmenso. Una inspección de estas características es muy estresante, por lo que haber obtenido este resultado nos alienta a seguir desarrollando nuestra vocación con la máxima excelencia y honestidad”, confirma Amparo Gil, directora de Caxton College.

The British government accredited educational inspectorate, Independent Schools Inspectorate, ISI, has awarded this Valencian school the highest rating in all the areas evaluated.

At these times when schools are suffering the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic, it is more than encouraging to receive news of such academic value as that which comes to us from Caxton College.

It should be noted that this popular independent British school was first awarded  “Excellent” in a BSO (British School Overseas) inspection in 2017. This certification, which must be renewed every three years, is the gold standard for British international schools worldwide. In fact, there are very few schools in Spain that can boast this accreditation with a rating of Excellent in all areas.

“This result of Excellent has been one of the motors behind us driving and implementing, in record time, the distance learning programme which, after some initial weeks of readjustments, we are now extremely satisfied with. This can only be achieved with an excellent team of people who have worked morning, noon, night as well as during the holidays with the sole intention of continuity of excellence in education coupled with a desire not to disappoint our families”, confirms Amparo Gil, Principal of Caxton College.

Last February, during four days of extensive scrutiny, a body of teaching experts, accredited by the UK Ministry of Education, carried out an audit to assess academic quality, social, cultural and ethical development, as well as the well-being and safety of Caxton College students. They examined the policies and procedures of the management team, teachers and non-teaching professionals. They also inspected the school facilities and the communication which the school maintains with parents and students. A month later, and after analyzing the data obtained, the British organisation sent their final report to Caxton College acknowledging that its level of excellence is observed in all the areas inspected.

“For an entire week, the inspectors scrutinised every inch of the school, they requested documentation, sent parent surveys, and spoke at random with students, teachers, and non-teaching staff. The aim is to get a true picture of the school so as to measure the quality of provision and its compatibility with independent schools in England”, says Marta Gil, Vice Principal of Caxton College.

Basically, in summary, the inspection report emphasises that the excellence of this Puçol school lies, above all, in the quality of the learning and academic achievement of its students as well as in their personal development linked to human values.

“The enthusiasm of our entire educational community is immense. An inspection of these characteristics is very stressful, so having obtained this result encourages us to continue developing our vocation with the utmost excellence and honesty”, confirms Amparo Gil, Principal of Caxton College.
